stop guessing start upholstering

Why this upholstery tutorials platform exists

Traditional upholstery classes can be difficult to access. They are often expensive, local, or limited to a small number of students.

With this website I wanted to build something different. Something everybody couls try, something super affordable, something usefull for every apprentices or DIYers.

This platform gives you access to real upholstery knowledge online, in a structured and affordable way. It is designed for people who want to learn seriously, but cannot always join an in-person class.

Learning a craft should not be reserved for a few.

Start with the right guide

How the site works

The Girl With A Hammer is designed to help you learn upholstery in a structured way — not by jumping randomly from one tutorial to another.

You can move through the platform in two ways:

  • by level: to follow a clear progression from beginner to more advanced work
  • by project: to focus on a specific chair and complete it step by step

This gives you both structure and flexibility.
