Banquette seat cushion

Hi Celine. I have attatched an image of the vinyl curved loose cushion that has wrinkles only in the curve. The top looks perfect. I placed a notch in the middle and on each side of the panel, top and bottom. I'm not sure if streaming the wrinkles off is the way to go. The vinyl is of high e d quality. What do you suggest?

Faux leather

Hi I’m using faux leather to cover a chair, it doesn’t seem very strong and I’m wondering if I should add some backing to it or glue a cotton fabric to it to make it stronger before I cover the chair.

Deep buttoning recovering

Posting in English :) Assuming the sprung seat and overall filling of a deep buttoned armchair is still firm. Is it possible to fill-in button holes and recover the armchair to a flat upholstery (without buttoning)? Is it realistic to do so when there are a LOT of small button holes on the armchair - see picture attached? Will the upholstery last in the long run? Thanks

Bonjour Celine, Je dois refaire le fauteuil en photo ci-joint sans le capitonnage. Je trouve cela dommage mais le client est décidé. Les guindage et garniture sont toujours fermes - Est ce raisonnable d'enlever le tissu, garder la garniture d'origine, remplir les trous et de le recouvrir? Cette solution est-elle réaliste avec autant de boutons? Va-t-elle durer dans le temps? Merci!

I have just taken your offer this week to subscribe and I'm very excited to learn extra tips from you. I have been in the uoholstery industry for seven years now. In my buisness ,I focus more on the modern furnishing side rather than traditional upholstery and this has kept my business very busy. I'm working on a friend's genoa armchair at the moment. It has been striped down. I wanted to ask you if I can place for the backrest a 2 inch soft foam and a layer of lintas cotton fill (image attached below). Can I also place a half inch soft foam on the armrests as well as a layer of lintas cotton fill?

Hi, I'm struggling on how to create a fabric pattern for a curved chair when I cannot use the original fabric. I'm wondering how to attach the fabric, how to define the seam location on 2 fabrics that overlapp. Image in attachment from google, not my work, just an example.
